I’m a nerd. Or something like that. I just found a new book– some Kundera– and suddenly life makes sense. I’m in a new city, a new guest house and I feel the prospects mounting. Who knew a book could be so powerful?

And which Kundera book might that be? I went to a bookstore in Prague that had everything he has ever written and I almost bought out their whole supply! Well not really, but sure wanted to.

Laughable Loves. So far I’ve read that and “Immorality” and “The book of Laughter and Forgetting.” The last has been my favorite so far. I wish I could help myself and stretch them over a day, but I can’t help but read until I’m finished.
It would have been hard for me not to buy everything, I’ve bought everything I manage to find over here. It’s few and far between, but it always brings a smile to my face when I’m able to find one.
Happy travels in Europe!

In other book related news I finished The Brothers Karamazov yesterday in a chill smoky pub in Freiburg. I dont even know what to say, what an incredible novel. Apparantly Freud said his whole system of psychology was based on it and I can see why he might make such a statement. Twas incredible. I am loving Germany and rue returning home in a few days. It has been amazing though. I hope all is well with you!
